Pitch us if you think you fall within our investment mandate:
You need a “space angle.” Note that we err on the side of talking to too many people here, so definitely do not hesitate to contact us if your business is not exclusively space and/or the space part is a few years down the road. Furthermore, we definitely consider “downstream” businesses as part of our mandate, i.e. you do not need to own or operate actual space hardware.
We can invest (and have indeed invested) fairly globally, as long as the country is not an adversary of the United States.
We write our first check at seed or even pre-seed stage, and go from there. We can consider exceptional later-stage businesses for investment via SPV.
A range depending on several factors, but assume US$250k–2MM for first checks.
We can lead rounds but also often follow.
- You submit your information and pitch deck to us – e.g. via this form!
- We will conduct an initial review, and if we like what we see…
- Schedule an initial pitch call with our team. These are usually attended by several of our staff incl. at least 1 partner, and often more.
- We discuss your case internally and, if we decide to continue the process, will conduct deeper due diligence. This typically involves some of the following elements: reviewing your dataroom, call(s) with our tech expert(s), follow-up questions via email or on further calls, etc.
- If all goes well, we’ll discuss you in our investment committee. If you pass IC review, we will notify you and provide you with a term sheet (if we are leading).
- Definitive documentation and closing.
If you are early stage and either (1) an Indian space startup, or (2) a startup that will leverage space stations (e.g. for in-space manufacturing), please consider applying to our KickSky and Orbital Edge accelerators, respectively. Please refer to the relevant section of our website.
Apart from the accelerators (see above), we typically make 4–6 investments per year.
